Battle of the Books Preliminary Registration

To register for Battle of the Books, please complete the form below. Completion of this form does not guarantee space in Battle of the Books. You will be notified on November 12 in regards to the status of your registration. Your team must have five students and every student on your team must attend the same school. If you have any questions in regards to the registration process, contact us by e-mail.

This email address will be used to notify you of important Battle of the Books announcements.
Note: Accommodation available for children with special needs.
Please notify us at least one month in advance of event.

Assistant Coach (optional)
Team coach(es) agree to:
  1. Attend or have an adult representative of your team attend one of the mandatory coaches meetings offered on December 2, 2014 OR December 4, 2014, as well as one of the mandatory logistics meetings offered on March 17, 19, OR March 24, 2014. Failure to attend will mean that your team will be disqualified from participating in Battle of the Books.
  2. Serve as the contact person(s) between the team and the library. Keep us informed of any changes.
  3. Supervise the team for the duration of Battle of the Books.
  4. Mentor or have an adult representative mentor another team during the actual Battle.
  • Informational Meeting: October 21, 2014 7pm at HCLS Miller Branch (410-313-7750)
  • Online registration: October 20 - November 3, 2014.  
  • Mandatory coach meetings - December 2, 2014 OR December 4, 2014, 7pm at HCLS Miller Branch (410-313-7750)
  • Mandatory logistics meetings - March 17, 19, OR March 24, 7pm at HCLS Miller Branch (410-313-7750)
  • Last Day to Change Team Info & Permission Forms Due: February 7, 2015
  • Battle of the Book Contest: Friday, April 10, 7pm at locations to be announced
