Michael Buckley is the author of the tremendously popular Sisters Grimm and N.E.R.D.S. series. Buckley's wily sense of humor and penchant for adventures with a twist have created a huge following of his books for children.

Pamela Duncan Edwards is the author of many children's books, including the amusing Some Smug Slug and Clara Caterpillar, the delightful Livingstone Mouse, and the truly moving historical Barefoot: escape on the underground railroad.

Mary Downing Hahn is the nationally acclaimed author of spine-chilling ghost stories and mysteries for children and teens. Some of Hahn's best known titles include The Old Willis Place, Deep Dark and Dangerous, Wait til Helen Comes, as well as historical fiction books, Anna All Year Round and Hear the Wind Blow. Hahn's latest novel is Mister Death's Blue-eyed Girl.

Jacqueline Jules is a teacher, a librarian, and a lover of words, who translated her passion into the highly entertaining Zapato Power books, a series about Freddie Ramos and his superpower.

Marc Tyler Nobleman is author of the notable Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman and the soon to be published Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-creator of Batman and more than 70 other books for children. Nobleman's cartoons have been published in The Wall Street Journal and Forbes magazine.

Jerdine Nolen was born in Mississippi but is now Ellicott City's claim to fame. Nolen is the author of Harvey Potter's Balloon Farm, Plantzilla, and her most recent book, a historical fiction novel set on the Maryland Eastern Shore titled Eliza's Freedom Road.

Katherine Paterson
