A discussion will follow, led by Professor Patti Turner. A light lunch will be served. African American Geneology: Tearing Down Brick Walls Date: November 1; 11:30 am – 1 pm Place: Howard Community College, Burrill Galleria Brickwalls in African American genealogy can be caused by lack of records or improper research habits. Learning to research effectively can help to avoid these brickwalls. Genealogist Michael Hait uses a case study to highlight the challenges of researching African American genealogy and how to overcome those hurdles. A light lunch will be served at the end of the presentation.
