Pass the Book by the Numbers – November 20th

More great news from Pass the Book for week four. You may recall that Scott Westerfeld took copy #130 of The Secret Hour with him on a recent trip to California, and left it there. Copy #130 resurfaced this week, registered in Laguna Beach, CA! Copy #130 is only 50 miles away from book #101 in Torrance, CA, and is our new southern-most point of the compass. Both books #101 and #130 are 2600 miles from Columbia, MD. Copy #101 is farther away by only ten miles. That’s not all:

  1. There have now been more than 100 registrations on the Pass the Book website. Books have been registered 111 times.
  2. Books #423 and #461 have been passed twice, and are in the hands of their third reader.
  3. Eight other books have been passed this month and are with a second reader.
  4. Ninety-nine different books have been registered.
  5. In addition to events in California, there’s been lots of local activity this week, as our books made local hops inside and outside of Howard County. Book #31 crossed the Washington Beltway and is in Highland, MD. Book #225 is in Linthicum, MD. Book #366 has crossed over I-270 and is in Germantown. Book #165 is in Nottingham, MD, and book #595 is in Arnold.
