Chess Club

Are your students interested in honing their ability to think strategically? Do they like playing games? If so, they may enjoy the Library’s Chess Club. Howard County Library provides an opportunity for students to meet and compete with others who share their enthusiasm for this classic game in an informal setting. All skill levels are welcome, but players must have a basic understanding of the rules of the game.

Ages 11-17. Registration is not required.

Central Branch meets first Sundays of the month from 1 – 5 pm.

Fall dates include Sep 5, Oct 3, and Nov 7.     

Savage Branch meets the first and third Mondays of each month from 5:30 – 6:30 pm.

Fall dates include Sep 20; Oct 4 & 18; and Nov 1 & 15.

Miller Branch meets on the last Tuesdays of the month from 7 – 8 pm.

Fall dates include Sep 28, Oct 26, and Nov 30.
