What do you Know?

What do you know of pain?
Have you ever felt the sting
On your flesh,
Lashing,
Ripping,
Tearing.
Have you ever felt your own blood
Mix with your tears?
And you are sitting there
Wondering what you
Did wrong.

What do you know of guilt?
Have you ever seen the faces
Behind your closed eyes
Screaming,
Crying,
Pleading.
Have you ever stained your hands
With someone else’s blood?
And you look at your work
Searching the crimson
And smile.

What do you know of hate?
Have you ever seen their eyes
Crossing your path
Mocking
Doubting
Fearing.
Have you ever felt so hated
That you could feel in it their gazes?
Where you plaster your face
With so many masks
To fit in.

What do you know of death?
When change fails, only outsiders can reach in.

What do you of love?
Have you ever heard the way
Whispers dance in ears
Breathing
Reassuring
Accepting.
Have you ever been held
In a way that made you fly?
Where you feel belonged for once
In many ways you never knew
Loved.

I know things you do not.
