Teen ‘Zine is produced by teen authors and artists. These teen contributors developed and observe the following guidelines when submitting material to Teen ‘Zine.
Teen ‘Zine fosters a creative atmosphere, but material should be appropriate. Both fictional and factual material appears in Teen ‘Zine. Factual material, such as current events articles, should be objective and avoid promoting any agenda. Care should be taken to ensure that the facts contained are correct, and any sources should be cited. Factual pieces may also include “opinion pieces” that contain the author’s opinion, but may not necessarily reflect the opinion of Teen ‘Zine or its staff. These opinion pieces will be labeled as such. (See Constructing a Strong Argument.) With regards to the language and content of both factual and fictional material, Teen ‘Zine will refrain from publishing anything that would be unacceptable on prime time, network television. Any disputed material will be reviewed by a panel of Teen ‘Zine contributors.
