Howard County Library System and the Howard County Public School System are excited to bring you the 2023 Battle of the Books. We continue to prioritize the safety and enjoyment of this event for all teams, coaches, families, and staff volunteers. We thank you in advance for your hard work, flexibility, and dedication to the battle. More details to follow.

Wed, Oct 12- Information meeting at 7 pm via Zoom (recorded).

Mon, Oct 24- Registration opens at 10 am (link will be added at 10 am) and remains open until capacity is reached or November 6 at 11:59 pm, whichever comes first. – Registration is closed.
Tue, Nov 15- Mandatory coach meeting via Zoom (recorded)
Wed, Nov 16 (7 – 9 pm)- Mandatory coach meeting at Miller Branch with book pick-up (in person) Register Here
Fri, Nov 18 (5 – 6 pm)- Book pick-up – Register Here
Sat, Nov 19 (11 am – 1 pm) – Book pick-up – Register Here
Mon, Feb 6, 2023- Permission forms due and last day to change team info
March 21, 2023- Mandatory logistics meeting via Zoom (recorded)
Sun, April 2, 2023- Upload your team’s digital poster to Dropbox (JPEG or PNG image files only)

Permission Forms
- *Please note that the permission form submissions are a two-step process. First, you will enter your email and then the system will send you an email for you to open and click “review document”, where you will fill out and submit the form. Please check your spam and other folders for this email. Thank you.
- Each coach and student member of the team must fill out a permission form to participate.
- Forms will be available and posted to this page once registration ends in November.
- The deadline to return forms is February 6, 2023.
