2014 Summer Reading : Wee Science (Ages birth to 5)

It's never too early to show your baby books and talk about the pictures. Cuddle your child on your lap and look at books together.  Your child will feel safe, happy, and also learn that looking at pictures and listening to stories are fun. Or try our interactive e-books for kids.

Children from birth to age 5 can master reading success, with the help of an older reader. Win a prize when you complete activities on the Wee Science Summer Reading Club game board.

  • Young children love repetition. Read favorites again and again.
  • Carry books with you to read while waiting in lines or at an office.
  • Let your older baby turn the pages in a board book.
  • Make reading a special part of your daily activities.
  • Books with words that rhyme appeal to infants and toddlers.
  • Choose books about everyday events that happen in your family.
