How the Media Fuels Childhood Obesity and What to do About It
Dr. Dan Levy, pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, discusses the impact of the media on food and drink choices made by children, how these messages contribute to the obesity epidemic among today's youth, and what parents can do about it.
This class immunizes parents and their children against some of the messages sent out by the media and teaches parents how to inoculate their kids, helping them face these varied messages and putting a positive spin on choosing the foods and drinks their families consume.
Presented in partnership with The Horizon Foundation and the Maryland Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
