Central to our effort is better understanding what you, the customer thinks. Your insights will help guide our approach and guarantee that HCLS continues to serve your educational needs.
PLEASE take this opportunity to COMPLETE OUR SURVEY BY MAY 1, 2018 so we can incorporate your ideas, thoughts and suggestions in this important task.
A little background…
Much has changed since 2004 when the thirty -year Master Plan was completed. While we will continue to follow the basic road map it charted, by re-examining our course from a more current perspective we can adjust and refine our direction to be better poised to deliver the best educational experience possible for our community.
Perhaps the biggest accommodation needed in the current HCLS Master Plan is for the planned revitalization of downtown Columbia. A brand new HCLS Central Branch will become a reality when Phase 2 of Area 3 in downtown Columbia’s Merriweather District (the Crescent) is complete. Area 3 represents the largest and most ambitious project to date in the revitalization of Columbia’s downtown. Construction for Phase 1 of the two-part Area 3 began in the summer of 2018. Phase 2 is currently in the final stages of planning and permitting.
